I was born in Miami, Florida, a true gastronomic melting pot, and have grown up in a family of wonderful, talented cooks. Now it’s my turn to continue their tradition by taking many favorite family recipes and infusing them with my own style. I have blended the Southern cooking of my mother’s family with my father’s Peruvian influence. My grandfather from Idaho married a Peruvian woman of English descent. She created her own cookbook, and starting in college, my father has used it as his culinary inspiration ever since. It was recently published and handed down to me. My grandparents from Georgia and North Carolina were excellent cooks specializing in Southern dishes, but my grandfather also loved preparing Italian food, perfecting many dishes while visiting Italy. All of these influences have converged to create a strong desire on my part to create and bottle superior sauces and salad dressings.
